Dear Dumfermline Building Society Savers,

Certainly the spokeman has done a good job not to create a panic situation.

Although it's hard for the savers to remain calm when they hear about this.

Imagine your bank is up for sale, and you don't know who is buying it, or whether it can cover it's debt.

I presume not many buyers can afford a multi million sale.

And the government cannot bail it out.

It was hoped the Dunfermline could continue with a government bailout of between £60m to £100m.

However, the regulators have decided it is no longer viable, with a £26m loss expected to be announced next week.

I can't think of anything else.

When Northern Rock went into trouble, so many people just want to withdraw from it.

The same with Dumfermline Building Society?

Pretty much so, as human nature asks us to protect ourselves.

Dear Government Decider To Bail,

Too many to mention, Northern Rock for a start.

And then the Royal Bank of Scotland, Halifax Bank of Scotland.

Same stories go on at United States.

The banks have got the money, are they using it for good use?

No.

Bank staff even has more bonuses than previously, thanks for the bail out.

And wrong mortgage lending policies too, not to mention.

Brown is on the way Not to be elected, sorry to say.

And we need to pay more pension now? As our tax money is not enough to bail other banks?

This is not good.

Dear Poor Savers,

Nowadays, we talk none other than the downturn of economy.

Who is affected the most?

Everyone.

Badly? The banks.

Never in history Bank of England has cut its saving interest to as low as 0.5%.

If you have 10,000 pounds, put it in the bank and you get 50 pounds a year.

But the question is, where else can your money go?

Essentially we are encouraged to spend, buy house, car, share, bond etc.

Most of us have never been in this situation before.

Terms like inflation, recession are even coming out from children's mouth.

Once in Hong Kong, their banks have negative interest rate.

It means that, if you want to put money in you have to pay them!

It's a penalty if you put your money into bank.

I hope that's not going to happen.

But never speculate anything. As we are in the very dim already.

Dear Cash Holders,

It is said whoever has cash in hands will be the king.

Having shares is no good.

Having properties is no good.

Although the saving interest rates are near to zero, at least you don't have to pay to put your money in banks.

And you have the flexibility of using your cash.

Some countries plan to build more houses to create jobs.

It will reduce the rate of unemployment, but who is going to buy the houses?

I suppose more houses means cheaper price as well, it is not a bad thing for consumers.

Banks say they will lend more within the next two years, after so long the government lends them so much money.

Royal Bank of Scotland is going to sell upto one fifth of its toxic debt away.

Buyers? Government.

Who is going to buy the extra houses built? Government.

Well, they all go back to the tax payers' money.

Dear Bankers,

Have you ever thought of the feelings of our poor savers?

You get the bonus in the economy downturn.

Saving interest rates drop to near zero.

I suppose when you get the bonus, you won't say no to it.

But in fact, when bank loses money, it is not logical for the bankers to get any bonuses at all!

Losing some customers does not matter for the big banks, unless you are a rich man.

Just the feeling of the savers, please understand.
